AN EXCEPTIONAL GEORGE II PERIOD MAHOGANY CENTRE TABLE

The rectangular dished top over a frieze with cross grain moulding on four elegantly shaped cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.

This elegant example of a centre or ‘sliver table’ displays an exceptionally refined balance of form together with perfect proportions. It has survived in a wonderfully untouched condition, retaining a glorious colour and patina.
